CC71 goes to Burnet County
 
May 27, 2008:  The Burnet County Commissioners Court passed a resolution in support of CC71's efforts to advocate for safety improvements on Highway 71 by a unanimous vote in their regularly scheduled meeting today.  Two members of CC71 who are Burnet County residents made a short presentation before the vote.
 
Precinct 3 Commissioner Ronny Hibler, whose grandson died in a tragic accident on Highway 71 this spring, read the resolution in full to the court and gathered citizens.  Precinct 4 Commissioner Joe Don Dockery, whose precinct contains Highway 71, made the motion for approval.
 
With the approval of this resolution, CC71's efforts have gone region-wide to provide a groundswell of Hill Country citizens demanding safety improvements on Highway 71.
